Introduction
This guide introduces the different device statuses you’ll encounter on Allxon Portal. Monitoring your devices’ connectivity and operational state helps ensure smooth and efficient remote management.
Allxon Portal provides clear visual indicators that let you quickly understand how each connected device is performing.
Below, you’ll find explanations of the Online, Abnormal, and Offline statuses — so you can easily assess device conditions and respond accordingly.

Abnormal Status
The
status appears when a device unexpectedly loses connection to the Allxon Portal. This may happen due to various unforeseen issues, such as:
-
Network Issues — A sudden disruption in the device’s internet connection.
-
System Freeze — The device’s operating system or hardware has become unresponsive.
-
Power Loss — An unexpected power outage affecting the device.
When a device is marked as Abnormal, it becomes temporarily unreachable, and all remote management functions are suspended until connectivity is restored. This status acts as an alert, prompting you to investigate the root cause of the disconnection.
Offline Status
The
status indicates that a device has been disconnected from the Allxon Portal in a controlled and expected manner. Unlike the Abnormal state, an Offline state suggests an intentional or planned action, such as:
-
Graceful Shutdown — The device was properly shut down by a user or a scheduled task.
-
Manual Disconnection — The device was intentionally removed from the network or disconnected from Allxon services.
An Offline device is not communicating with the portal because it was deliberately powered down or disconnected, representing a planned pause in activity rather than an unexpected fault.
Allxon OOB Enabler with Power Detection
Devices equipped with Allxon Out-of-Band (OOB) Enabler with Power Detection feature gain advanced monitoring and diagnostic capabilities for improved visibility and control.
Enhanced Abnormal Status Analysis (with Power Detection)
When paired with Power Detection, Allxon OOB Enabler helps you identify the cause of an Abnormal state more precisely:
-
Network Issue or System Freeze — If Power Detection shows Power On while the status is Abnormal, the device is powered but not communicating with the portal, suggesting a network interruption or system freeze.
-
Power Loss — If Power Detection shows Power Off while the status is Abnormal, the device likely experienced an unexpected power failure.
This added insight allows for faster and more accurate troubleshooting.
Independent Power Status Monitoring
Allxon OOB Enabler also supports independent power status monitoring. It allows you to view whether a device is
or
, ensuring OOB power control features are functioning as expected.
By understanding these distinctions, you can efficiently monitor, diagnose, and manage your devices on the Allxon Platform — keeping your edge operations stable and always connected.
