How to Add OOB Enabler via PIN Code and Complete Linking

Introduction

Allxon offers three methods for OOB Enabler integration: Auto-Link, Link via Allxon Agent Interface, and Adding via PIN Code and Linking — the method covered in this guide.

In this section, you'll learn how to Adding via PIN Code and Linking and manually complete the pairing on Allxon Portal, enabling seamless remote power control and troubleshooting for your existing device.

Prerequisites

  • Your device has successfully installed Allxon Agent and is paired to Allxon Portal.
  • The OOB Enabler module is correctly installed in your device hardware.
  • You have access to the OOB Enabler’s unique Serial Number and PIN Code.

Step 1: Add OOB Enabler to Allxon Portal

  1. Log into Allxon Portal and navigate to the Device List Page.

  2. Click "+ Add Device" and select "Add OOB Enabler by pin code". 

  3. Enter the Serial Number and PIN Code and click “Add,” then follow the on-screen prompts to activate the service on the Allxon Portal. Activation is required to enable OOB capabilities.

    💡 Note: You can find the sticker containing the serial number and PIN code on the OOB Enabler or on the device casing. If the sticker is missing or not visible, please contact your hardware supplier or Allxon for assistance. 
  4. Upon OOB Enabler addition, the newly added OOB Enabler will be displayed on the Device List Page.


 Step 2: Manually Link the OOB Enabler 

  1. Navigate to the Device Details Page and select your target device.

  2. On the Device Details page, click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and select “Link OOB Enabler.” 

  3. Select the OOB Enabler SN that corresponds to your OOB Enabler installed in this device. Click “Next” to continue. 

  4. Review the device information on the preview screen and click “Link” to establish the connection. Once completed, you may close the prompt. 

Step 3: Verification

  1.  Verify that the OOB Enabler status icon shows Online on the Device Details page. 
  2. Test a critical OOB function, such as executing a Power Reset, to confirm that the OOB Enabler is fully operational.
